Help in Comparability by NARIC

Post by alicipherd » Tue Feb 15, 2005 3:32 pm

Hi all. I seek your help.

I have got Comparability report from NARIC and they Assessed my qualification as.

"Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) Standard"
I have done Bachelor Honns In mechanical Technology.

If I apply for HSMP, and opt 15 point as a graduate level of education. Will this be acceptable for Case worker to mark me for 15 point? or my education isnt equal ?

Please answer

Have you called NARIC to ask for an explanation? If you paid for the assessment, they should be able to explain it to you re: the UK equivalent and whether it would be considered graduate level to get you the 15 points.

Hi,
I got the same thing "Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) Standard" and they explained it to me that it is equal to UK Bachelors Odinary Degree. Odinary means "not honours". But still, its a UK degree so you get 15 points for sure.

I got the same letter but slightly different. I sent my 3 years graduation degree to NARIC and they assessed my degree as

"DIPLOMA OF HIGHER EDUCATION".

Now the confusing point is;

1) Will it be equivalent to UK Bachelors (Either Ordinary or Whatever)
2) Should i ask more explaination from NARIC.

Please reply.

Thanks

Hi MGazan.

You mean I will be marked as UK graduate level education? tell me from your experiance did you get through with this qualification or you have some thing more to support your case.

And for my case what you advise shell I apply any way, shell I ask NARIC about its clarification etc.

Will wait for your reply.
Cheers
