Hi vsab

Just now we also got same email. We will get decision before 31octber.i don't know they telling a truth or just joking.
What is u r timeline
I applied on 3march.
Any way a little hope arrive. Because our application is an decision making office.

Hi,
i will check with my solicitor tomorrow. anyway at least this is a good news. and I applied 30th march, and get not straightforward 23rd june. so think my case similar with urs.
I never got mail that my case is not straight forward but I also got the same mail today
Hi
What is u r timeline when u applied
I applied on 2 June , and this is the first mail i received from UKVI apart from first confirmation mail that states my application received. Nothing apart from that.I did escalation after 60 working days but nothing out of that , so we stopped contacting on phone/mail just to avoid unnecessary waste of money.
Lets wait and find out how many people got this mail today

Spouse Visa Applications - Email received today

Post by hussain252 » Mon Sep 25, 2017 7:33 pm

Thank you for applying for a UK visa.

Due to it being our busiest period, I am afraid we are unable to make a decision on your application within our usual timescale. We aim to make a decision on your application before 31 October. If for any reason we are unable to do so, we will write to you to update.

Staff at the visa application centres or contact centres have no influence on cases and cannot provide any further advice so we recommend you do not attend or call the contact centre. Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre until you have received written confirmation that a decision has been made on your application and that your passport is ready to be collected.

We understand this will be frustrating to you and regret any inconvenience caused.

We will contact you shortly to update you on what is happening

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind Regards,

Got this email from Sheffield today anyone else receive anything similar?

Lets hope that this isn't a joke.
TBH this is actually the first time they have given us a time frame. In the past they have always told us "soon" "be patient" "unable to give you the exact date" etc etc..
Sorry to hear that, but u sure 2016? it already one and half year

Yep. I got the same mail too. I hope there is some truth to this timescale and it's not just a generic mail to buy themselves more time.

Evening all

I got the same email at 6:50pm. Applied for my husband on 24th April in Tirana, Albania. Received not straightforward and on hold email on 17th July. My husband’s case is complicated due to what the Home Office consider to be an ‘abusive immigration history’ so was expecting it to take longer however it’s been 5 months now and it’s still no further forward.

I pray everyone gets the decision their hoping for in Jesus name.

Hi

I too got the same email this evening , I applied 10th may and this is the first glitter of hope we have received 😊🙏🏾😳
I am hoping it will be good news God willing!!!!

My work place have not been contacted as of yet to confirm my employment so I'm guessing there is still some checks to be completed.

I guess most applicants that applied around April/may are now starting to hear back slowly but surely.

I am due back to work after taking maternity leave so if we get news back in October that would be perfect timing.

Good luck to everyone I hope it will be positive!!!
