Hi!

My husband also applied for dependent visa on 10th-March.
I heard, 10 to 15 business days will be taken to process dependant visa.

Best Regards!

10 to 15 days????

I enquired VFS Chennai by email they replied as 7 to 10 working days

and somebody told me as even 5 days

10 to 15 working days is very high so that we cant marry and get our wife to UK in one single trip. In my office I can put only maximum 2 weeks of holiday at a single time. I think there is no chance for me get my wife along with me in one trip

Hi Hari15,

I too send a mail to VFS helpdesk. Time line is maximum 5 working days but if any issue then applicant has to meet the visa office.

Do you know what are documents we need to submit for this ?

TIA..

Post by achintk » Mon Mar 17, 2008 11:31 am

Hi

I'm on HSMP in UK since June 2007. I'm getting married in April ('08 ) in India. What all documents do I need to apply dependent visa for my wife?
What are the timelines with Delhi VFS?

Thanks in advance to all the replies to my query

Cheers!!
Ach

15 working days??

I think they are saying the maximum possible days. I think you should get it well before that

Have you applied in Bangalore?

Does applying from VFS bangalore or VFS chennai will make any difference in time lines? (provided the application is straight forward)

and ash, Can you say about have you got prior appointment from VFS before applying for dependant Visa? or can we directly goto VFS office and apply? if we need appointment how many days before we need to book it?

thanks

8)
1. Your wife's passport and two recent passport size colour photos of your wife
2. Original Marriage Certificate
3. Some of the marriage photos (not mandatory, but will help)
4. Photocopy of your passport along with the Valid Visa page
5. Photocopy of your HSMP approval letter (not mandaatory, but will be better if given)
6. Your original p60 tax returns (atleast last year P60), if you have one
7. Original Last 6 months Bank statements (show sufficient balance in it)
8. Your original house rental agreement or any other accomodation proof
9. Your last 6 months salary slips (not mandatory, but will help)
10. Letter from employer stating your employment (This is not mandatory, you may or may not provide it)

Use VAF-2 form let your wife to fill it And You need to provide a Letter of Sponsor for that application.

note: your wife need to give the biometric data in person while applying for visa

Thanks & Just i want to clarify the below point;
Hari15 wrote :

When i am applying the hsmp extension i could able to show sufficient balance (£800 - 3months) for my application but i don't have enough balance for showing dependent visa (ie >1333) so In this situation can i show the other savings account statements ?

Actully i have current account/flexi saver account with HSBC bank normally the salary will be credited in the current account but i will tranfer the money savings account .

But not sure i can show the flexi saver account statements for dependent visa submission?
TIA
