URGENT!! TIER 4 TO TIER 2 SWITCH

Hello, This question is for my friend.

He recently got graduated from university and his Tier 4 visa expires on November 30th 2017. He just got a job offer today but the employer say he needs at least 3 months left on his visa. Is two months not enough? Is this Home Office rule? I can't find any time needed on guidance. Really really appreciate it if someone can let us know. We need to reply to the company ASAP.

Hi Ali,

There is no such Home office rule. As long as he apply for Tier2 visa before his current Tier4 visa expiry that is enough.
It may be the employer internal company policy (not sure though why they will need to ask your friend for a 3 month Tier4 visa).Also switching from Tier4 to Tier2 is pretty straight forward because the graduate is exempted of RMLT process.

They need this time to monitor and check your friend's ability to do the work as he is a graduate (no experience).
