PBS Dependent extension( Main applicant is ILR)

Post by shabell » Sun Oct 01, 2017 3:30 pm

Dear Sir/Madam,

My husband currently holds an ILR(Indefinite Leave to Remain). His last held visa was 'Tier 2 General' and he got ILR in September 2016 via 5 years continues stay.

I am currently on ‘PBS Dependent' visa and I did not change my visa after he got ILR.

My current visa details as follows:

Start date: 26.06.2015
Expiry date : 03.01.2018
Type: PBS Dependent.

I would like these to be answered please.

1. I believe I need to extend my visa as 'PBS Dependent' visa. Please confirm if this is true?
2. When is the earliest I can start my application process?
3. Which application form do I have to fill in?
4. Can we start this process next month or in December, kindly suggest best time to start application process ?
5. Documents required to support my application and fees?
6. Is there any priority service for this application ? Like postal, priority and same day service and what are the fees for these ?.
7 for maintenance fund - it would be recommended to attach my bank statements(salary based ) or my husbands?

It would be really helpful if you could provide info to the above queries.

1. Yes

2. You should ideally apply within 28 days before your visa expires. You don't state when your visa initially started and what date you entered the UK.

3. Tier 2 Dependent form, online only.

4. See #2

5. Read the guidance notes, surprisingly little though.

6. You can apply in person yes, costs £590 extra

7. Either as long as the minimum balance has been maintained for 90 days.

Don't forget to pay the £600 immigration health surcharge.

You will get a 3 year extension so you should be fine in terms of ILR after 5 years residence.

You should apply in end November or December for an extension.

HI Friends,

I am in the process of filling online application of my PBS dependent visa extension
Need help on below question.

Which visa or permission to stay has Mrs XXXXX applied for or been granted?
Choose the service that the PBS main applicant most recently applied for, even if their application is still being processed. If the main applicant has been granted indefinite leave to remain or British Citizenship, you should choose the PBS Tier under which they were granted leave before.

My husband is on ILR and applied for British citizen and its under process.

before ILR he was on Tier 2 Genenal But when I got visa, He was in Tier 2 ICT.

Now should I need to select Tier 2 General or Tier 2(Intra company long term) for above question ?
