Hi yes I got a call at the end of September from then home office asking when my partner intended to enter the country. I told them November. He picked up his passport yesterday - visa granted and he has to enter between 1 November - 1 December. No email about 31st October as his was already decided before this was sent.

Just in case anyone Is wondering - the tracker has never worked for his application even now it’s been decided

Also, I applied priority & got a refund of my fee in July so I urge everyone who applied priority to do the same

Good luck to everyone still waiting

Hi all. Quick update.

My Peruvian parnter applied in Lima in April. Hold email received In May. At the beginning of September the embassy Called me to advise they didn’t recieve my income documents and I had 10 days to send them. Sent them on September 5th. Today the embassy Called me asking when my parnter intends to travel. I asked if this means it’s been approved and she said yes! So. They are processing hold applications, just painfully slowly. Good luck to everyone still waiting
Hi Misskatie, did you get a decision yet and did you receive the 31st October email. I also applied on April and recieved the hold email on July.

Hi,

Congratulations on your visa! Do you have any more information regarding getting the priority fee back? How do I go about getting this?

Many thanks

It seems people who applied in January and got not straightforward email didn't hear anything yet.
I applied in January 18 2017
Received not straightforward on march.
So unfortunate.

My application was submitted in January but biometrics was in the first week of February.
I got a "not straightforward" email in April and a "hold" email in May. Aaand nothing since then.
We've not contacted them a lot as they've discouraged it. In August we enquired and the Abu Dhabi office told us it was still processing. We have contacted the relevant MP though.
No 31st October email.

I pray Allah makes a way for all of us.
I pray that Allah makes easier for you. I am astonished that you didn't get the 31st Oct email, I thought everyones timeline that exceeded the 6 months would get this email. So I gather some did and some didn't. I wonder it they just randomly emailed us or selected to email us from their database.

Hi cinnamonbee
Don't worry about that email. Bcz it sent to the applicants whose application is processing in Sheffield.
But your application is processing in abhu dhabi right?
Stay positive, you will hear a good news soon

Hi everyone

I applied on 23rd march and have received the hold email as well as the 31st October mail. My Aunty applied 2 months after me for her daughter and herself, they received their visas today! I'm thinking maybe they're processing family visas first? Also, can anyone let me know how to get my fees back as I paid priority? Also, my case has been escalated twice now 🤧

31 October email:

27 days to go
26 know, wekeend and from Monday it will be 22 days. The days are going fast and I see that there is an increase in the influx of decisions made and all of them have been approved for entry. That 31st Oct email is making an impact.

I took my biometrics on22/6/2017
But my spouse send the documents to sheffield before i took biometrics.
I still havent heard anything from my visa no email no nothing.. i called ukvi after the 60 days marker and they escalted my case and told me that my status is "waiting for desicion".
Today the 15 days for escaltion were over and i called again to escalte but a different lady answered this time only to tell me that because i applied from istanbul i ll have to wait for 90 days and only after that i could escalte.
I m so confused how did i get my case escalted the first time then.
And is it because i sent the documents pre biomtrecs appointment i m getting delayed like this.
Anybody else have the samw problem or can shed some light?
