Hi All,

Thanks a lot to all of u in the FEB EC applicants. Till date I have been silent reader.myself and my hubbie have got EC stamped today. A special thanks to Rajsekar as we took all documents he specified so it took only 10 minutes for both of us in vfs. The staff was really surprised to see all our documents in place.
Once again thanks to all of you without whose help our EC would nt have been this ec :) :)
EC applied: 21st FEB Chennai VFS
Integra Result: 12th March
EC stamped from 17th March(22 working days)

VFS application on 20/feb/2008
No idea about any thing

Suddenly post came with docs and passoport today 17/03/08

Hi

I checked the status today on VFS site it says that my visa application is ready for collection but i didnot receive any mail from the BHC stating that my visa has been granted does this mean my visa has been denied??

I hope not?? :(

I never got any mail i just got a post with docs and passport ..dont worry jsut wait untill your docs come back

Hey you are lucky mate... Here I have had no updates since 14th Feb. Dont know what to do also. I have tried calling the bangalore VFS and they give the same status as shown in the website. When I tried to contact the chennai number they ask to contact the bangalore VFS number.

Just waiting, its been 24 working days now but no response.

I got my EC in just 11 working days, that to with postdated visa from 01-05-2008 to 01-05-2010.

Application filed: 26-Feb-08
EC received through Blue Dart Courier on:12-March-08.

Hi All, I have applied EC and my timelines are

Applied for EC on : 20.02.2008
Location : Hyderabad VFS
Final Result : Dont know status

I have a question around integra screen,
I talked to BHC chennai today and asked about my integra screen report, they have confirmed they have received my integra screen report, but i didnt heard from my HR as I gave HR contact no. Do they always contact the HR? if not, Please let me know if its a normal thing?

Hey congrats Tanup... I can really understand your happiness after this long wait. Enjoy a relaxed time. I am waiting and lets see when it comes for me. How did you come to know that its granted? Did you call any number or directly did you get the passport?

Dont worry... when i was applying on 20 Feb there was a guy siting beside me told it took 60 days for him..he was applying for his wife at that time.. If you have submited all the docs/proofs for the points you scored and enough money to show you will get it ... all the best

hi guys,

I have a quick question here. When I had applied for EC, I didn't have any job offer in hand. Yesterday I cleared the final around of interview and now I have a offer in hand. Is there any way that i can fax this to British High Comission? Would they entertain such request?

Hi ,

Post March 10th u can only contact VFS bangalore for any queries. Any about the time lines. What i have observed are as follows.

VFS CHENNAI - 16-20 working days
VFS BANGALORE - 20 - 25 workign days
VFS MUMBAI/PUNE - 12-18 working days.

Others please comment on this.

Hi,

I wanted to checkout what are the pros and cons of taking an employment with an Indian company (so I would be on Indian employment) and then sent to UK, getting an allowance.

Would this have any effects when applying for Extension after 2 years? I have still not got any job in the UK so thinking whether this is something which is feasible and assessing the risk in this.

Generally the salary is very less compared to UK companies, so check your eligibility with the salary which you will need to have when applying for extention.

Check if your company will provide you with UK salary slips, P60 and other relevant documents.

I called the BHC Chennai today and they informed me that Integra verification is over. ...

Today is the 17th working day

Hi

I got my EC on 14 Mar 08

Got it stamped in 12 working days :)
My timelines are

Vfs Applied 28 Feb (New Delhi)
Integra 10 March 08
Visa Granted on 14 March 08

Had applied for post dated visa but they ranted it from 14 march only

Somebody on this forum said that they give an instruction sheet as well with the EC reagrding some general dos and donts like which drugs you can carry and other stuff

I didnt get anything just middle page of passport stamped with the ec

Can people who have got the EC confirm the same

Last but not least I would like to thank everyone in this forum for their guidance from time to time

Guys,

One quick question. Is there a 28 days rule introduced recently? I was reading through one of the forums and it says that after getting the EC we should enter the UK within 28 days, otherwise we might face problem when we apply for PR at the end of 5 years.

Is it correct? Also whether it is 28 days or 28 working days?

Could any of you please share your thoughts.
