HSMP in old system and EC in tier 1 - Implications

With tier1 system come in to effect, i have following doubts regarding the same : I have my HSMP approved in feb 2008 and will apply for EC after 1st April 2008.

1) What are the implications for me ,of this new system ( my case is, i have HSMP in old system and will go for EC in tier1) ?

2) What is the fees for filing EC, for me and my wife ( as dependent) ? Are they same as old system ?

3) Any major changes i should be aware of ?

4) I heard that, in tier1 system-"According to the new rules, you will have to maintain 800GBP in your account for a period of 3 months continuously before you can apply for the EC with new rules (Tier 1) ".Will this be applicable for me ?

1. If any one who has already received the HSMP approval can
apply anytime before or after April and so can his dependants. They
will follow the old process and the old fees of 16000.

2. There is no specific amount that has to be maintained. But
the balance in the account must satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer in
such a way that you are capable enough in sponsoring your spouse.

3. This is to keep you informed that the new procedures for the
HSMP approval is only applicable for people who are yet to apply for
the HSMP approval and not for HSMP visa processing.
