Working hour limit check

Hi everyone,

Can I please know for a returning student who applies for visa extension from his home country how often do they check if the student have worked more than 20 hours? will they ask in interview if i worked more than 20 hours? and will they check my working hours record for the whole 3 years of degree i have stayed in uk whhilst studying? I have heard they only check past 6 months and not whole record as they have other applications too! but can anyone tell the reality of it?

One of my friend he graduated now. he also applied for student visa couple of times. he told me this. But i don't know how true it is.
