Spouse Visa Evidence We Didn't Live Together

Post by samehmina » Sun Oct 15, 2017 12:34 pm

Hello,

It is required in the spouse application to provide evidence why my partner and I did not live together before marriage. The reason for this is that it is not allowed in our culture to live together before marriage. In this case, what kind of evidence should I provide?

Many thanks,

Sam.

Why are you applying for a partner visa when you appear to be married?

You are right. I meant to write the spouse visa.

Co-habitation before marriage isn't a requirement for a Spouse Settlement visa.

Yes I know but they require evidence why did not live together before marriage. What should I provide for this one?

I don't have access to the online application form. Where does it ask this :?:

They ask that question in the section "Previously lived with your Partner"
"Have you and your partner ever lived together? " answer: No

"I confirm I will provide: Any relevant supporting evidence why my partner and I have not lived together"

I guess it's arranged marriage for which there is a box to click to indicate to HO. You can also explain that in additional info section/cover letter.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.
