Brother 88, April 4 Biometrics, Case not straight forward email, 31 oct email, than the not straight forward email again. Was yours same as mine?
When was your biometrics?

Thank you for your enquiry regarding your Visa application.

Please accept our apologies for the delay in making a decision on your application. It is our busiest period and unfortunately, it is taking us longer to process applications.

As we have previously advised, the processing of this application has not been straightforward. We are continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we are able to. We cannot give a time scale for when a decision will be made, however I have escalated this to the appropriate Entry Clearance team so that it can be progressed as quickly as possible

Mixed emotions, praying it's good news! Now it's time to wait to be contacted for collection. Feeling greatful it's not taken as long as some applications, however feeling nervous as it's been decided reasonably soon compared to previous applications .
Biometrics on 29th August priority
Goodnight luck.

Update!

A few days ago i received an email from the Abu Dhabi branch of the HO telling me that there was a technical difficulty with the production of my BRP and that it'll be delayed a week. My BRP?! I was confused; does this mean my visa is approved?!
Our lawyer advised we wait for them to send a decision letter.
On Sunday, my dad suggested that I head down to the VFS office to check. I was uncertain about going all the way down there as it's proven to fruitless in the past. I changed my mind last minute and went.

Yes; I got my visa! I got it TEN days ago and no on bothered to contact us about it. Had I not gone on my dad's hunch we would not have found out.

The VFS blamed the HO for not emailing and said we don't always email to inform our customers about passport collection. They said I should have opted for the SMS service. I only found out about the SMS service via these forums. My goodness, the incompetency is at a whole other level!

But, alhamdulillaah. Praise be to Allaah infinitely. :D
Really pray everyone else gets it too.

I applied in January. Biometrics was in the first week of February. Mid April I received a "not straightforward" email. And in May I received a "hold" email. My application was non-priority.

My advice is that in the weeks to follow be sure to do extra enquiries in case you get yours too in a similar way.

Congratulations..!! Your waiting is over now. I still only got that survey email which was asking about feedback of UKVI service which I cannot compete since I haven't received anything about my visa application from UKVI. You were on same situation is it? You also only received that same survey email is it? Have you contacted HO after receiving that survey email? When did you received that survey email and how long you waited after receiving that survey email till the passport collection sms. I have received that survey email on last Friday. I'm going to send an email today asking the status of my visa application. Do you think is good to contact them or waiting till their response. Thanks you very much.

Thank You!!!.. my husband got the survey email on friday they didnt send me an email saying my decision has been made i found out by call, and my husband got contacted for collection yesterday to pick up his passport but decision was made a week ago.
I think you should contact them just incase your decision has been made, i was hesitant in calling them up to as i thought they'd say the same thing as usual but luckly they told me a decision has been made and my husband will get his passport next week. It took 11 working days giving my passport back since decision has been made.

Hope you all hear soon. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!! flying out on thursday insha'allah to pick husband up😁
