EEA national married to newly naturalized citizen

Post by kamransh » Thu Oct 19, 2017 5:23 pm

Hi,
I became a British citizen in September 2017 and have been married to a EEA national since 2012.

My EEA spouse received her PR card back in December 2016 which makes her eligible to apply for British citizenship in December 2017. However I want to know if she can she apply before December based on our marriage or will she have to wait until December?

Thanks

Yes she can apply now if you have your certificate and/or passport.
