Travelling to EU/Schengen Area countries on a UK Spouse Visa

Hello everyone,

I've applied for a UK spouse visa and hopefully I should get it soon. I'm an Indian citizen with an Indian passport.

Please could you'll help me clarify the following -

1. If I'm travelling with my wife (British Citizen) I don't need a Schengen Visa?
2. If I'm travelling without my wife, I need a Schengen Visa but I can apply to the specific country's consulate free of cost?
3. What are the chances of getting a multiple entry long term Schengen since I will need to travel often for business?
