Green Card/ Diversity Lottery interview

Post by cb1964 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 1:25 pm

Hello,

Does anyone know if the US government provides any assistance to an individual who is successful in obtaining a Green Card - eg, job and accommodation.

Their home country is Mauritania, the person does not speak English and is due to go for an interview at the US consulate next week for their Green Card.

I personally do not believe they do, but the other person insists it is.

Thanks

It would be a really funky DV Lottery Program if it meant the government would have to pay some form of financial assistance.

I thought that in order to obtain the GC, you had to show proof of employment/sponsorship?

Is the interview conducted solely in English??

I didn't think that any help was given, but the other person insisted that it was because this is what other people had told him. So, I thought best to check it out.
