question regarding work experience for assessment

Post by misha3d » Mon Mar 24, 2008 3:54 pm

Hi all,

I am planning to migrate to Australia on an independent skilled visa.
One of my qualifications is both on the SOL and MODL, while the other
is just on the SOL list.

From the TRA online material it is not 100% clear how much vocational
experience I will need to have in order to successfully apply for
assessment.

In my special case I have a 3.5 year combined vocational training as
"Design Mechanic / sheet metal structural engineering" with on-site and
formal theoretical training. I also have 6 months work experience
afterwards.

Would this be likely enough to successfully apply for assessment for
"Skill Pathway A"?

I also have a BA in Digital Media and 1.5 years full time and 4 years
part time experience in this field. However, the ACS seems to have
substantially higher requirements for experience.

Thank you very much in advance.
