Travel after naturalization approved

Post by Anjali85 » Mon Oct 30, 2017 3:59 pm

Hi,

I have couple of question on travel after Naturalization approved.

1. Do we need to book citizenship ceremony immediately after receiving the Naturalization approval letter? Can I book it for a date which is after two months?
2. Can I travel with my current country passport between the approval date and citizenship ceremony date?

You should BOOK with in 21 days of approval letter and you MUST ATTEND the ceremony within 90 days.

Yes, you are only British once you have attended the ceremony.

thanks for the response,

Do we need to surrender ILR BRP card immediately after naturalization approval? OR it has to be done only after citizenship ceremony?

If it has to be returned immediately after receiving approval letter they I can travel. right?

After ceremony. You are not British until you have attended the ceremony.
