T2 ICT Established Staff to T2 General switch

Hello,

I was granted T2 Established Staff visa in March 2011, and, since then I am in UK, with the same employer.

Now, I have got an opportunity to change sponsor and go for T2 General visa.

My query is regarding the 6 year cap.

Does this period start from -
a) March 2011 (when I was first granted T2 ICT visa) - if yes, then, I guess I'm not eligible for T2 G visa,
OR
b) from the date my T2 General visa will be granted

did you manage to switch to t2 gen? I'm wondering if any change to tier 2 established staff visa to tier 2 gen visa category?Any help on this is highly helpful!
