Funds for EC .. Plz help

Hi friends ..

I got approval recently, going to apply for EC in april.

I dont have enough money in savings account, my brother is sponsering me in this regard. He is transfering Rs. 4.5 lac into my account (Im single).

Here im submitting following documents ..

1) Letter from brother stating he is gifting the money to me for my initial stay in UK
2) His bank statement
3) My bank statement
4) Notarised Gift deed
5) His passport copy

friends .. is these documents are enough? plz share your views and tell me if i miss any? And also tell me is this method is OK .

I have one doubt, im going to apply for EC in April.
So which rules are applicable for my EC?
Old rules (or) New rules(Tier1).

hi gmhsmp,
If you are going to apply for EC in April you will fall under the new rules where you will have to satisfy the Maintenance Funds criteria. For that, you have to show the amount in your bank account for last 3 months. I don't think you can use your brother's bank account. Please confirm before applying.

Hi All,

Anyone having HSMP approval letter dated before 31 march 2008 and received before that date falls under the old rule of HSMP only. pls confirm this from any VFS office. Thanks.
