Hi all,

I see a lot of you refer to complaining to UK Solvit. Is this something the mp does on your behalf or do you do it yourself?

I have raised my issue with my MP. Should I also contact UK Solvit?
Can someone please let me know the process involved with UK Solvit?

Is this something that the mp does on your behalf or can I message them separately aswell?
Hey,

I was on Solvit's website, as I want to raise my issue with Them also. And as I understand it you need to contact them. They want you to provide all your history of emails between you and UKVI. It seems like they want to be prepared and know everything about your case before contacting HO.
I will contact them next weeks when 20 days of my first escalation passes, just to have another proof/point UKVI does nothing to process the application.

Agnieszka

Dear All,

Happy to share the good news..finally I got my passport today with an EEA family permit.

All my stressed is gone away when I saw my EEA family permit.

Good luck to all and I will keep all you guys in my prayers....will be travelling soon to UK.. Can't wait to see my hubby.

Thank you for all ur support and and updating information..its really helpful.
Hi Esperan,

I'm new to this forum and i've applied for my EEA family permit as well from India. My husband holds a french nationality and living/working in London. I applied for the EEA family permit visa on the 3rd of July from Chennai, India and have been waiting since then. Precisely, 90 working days have passed, escalated my case twice and the 20 days of my 2nd escalation is coming to an end this week.

I'm overly worried about the status my visa and news such as yours is giving all of us tad ray of hope. Hence, may I ask, after how many escalations and writing MP / Solvit / European commission did you receive your FP? Pl shed some light. Thanks in advance.

So finally a different email received from Sheffield and not their standard application not being straight forward...
Moreover their email this time says they are currently experiencing high volume, hence the delay, which is new to this forum....

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your letter before claim regarding the consideration of your clients entry clearance application. Please accept my sincere apologies for the delay in assessing this application, UKVI are currently experiencing high volumes of entry clearance applications.

In order to give full consideration to the points which you have raised, we will be required to investigate further. I have therefore escalated your clients application to the operational team dealing with EEA applications. Please note however it can take some time to undertake a full investigation, as such we will endeavour to issue a response to you within 14 days from the date of this correspondence.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me on the address specified above.

Yours faithfully

Nina90, Have you received your permit yet?
Hi,

Thank you so much for calculating the number of days everyone has been waiting.

I just want to ask if my application has got the longest waiting time as of now? Has anyone else crossed a 155 day limit?

I have escalated my case once on the 10th of October and received a reply stating it is not straightforward even though they are sympathetic to my case. Should I apply for an escalation once again? Would it help in any way?

Thank you for the support guys

I guess your lawyer sent pre action protocol before lodging a judicial review. PAP is the only way to get attention of the authority. All the escalation calls and emails don't reach anywhere further than contact centre staffs.

Hi Simran ,

I have been waiting for longer , applied on 2nd May from Mumbai .

It’s strange HO does not follow a queue system.

It does not seem like a fair system.

There are people who have applied only now and received their applications.

There seems no choice but to accept defeat and wait for a decision and then decide.

But will definitely be highlighting this via written complaints to HO and 10 Downing Street.

Thanks Ranjuraj , Danny and aloylsha. Don't loose hope and keep escalating after 20 days. I pray to god to help everyone and don't disappoint anyone...

Hi,
Came across this website a couple of days earlier. Here are my stats:

Tony_P 17/05/17 Mumbai 124 working days completed.

Congrats to all that have received the FP after such a long wait and prayers to all those that are waiting.

Simran :)

Today 116 working days still waiting. Applied from Madrid, Spain 26/May/2017. I’m very mad, stressed, anxiety and depressed.

Regards
Agnieszka

Is this the solvit you are talking about?
Yes this is the one I was talking about.
So my wife just wrote and submitted the complaint to Solvit. I also called UK solvit and they said once the her country's solvit department submits the complaint to UK solvit they will then liase with the home office.

Has anyone been successful in having their case considered by UK Solvit?

When I spoke to UK Solvit they said to me that you can actually request to get your passport back from the home office while the EEA FM permit is being processed. Is it true that your passport can be requested back concurrent with the application still in process?

Hi Scott,
I actually applied on the 9th of May which is very close to your date of application.

I think my days have been counted wrong on the forum. I recounted and it came to 141 working days (as of today - 07.11.17)

I am sorry to hear about such a long waiting period, I am literally on the edge every single day but they have to answer some day or the other so patience is key :)

Thanks for the update!

Good luck

Simran :)
