Switching employers with Tier 2

Post by Chandan1 » Tue Oct 31, 2017 10:16 pm

I am also in process of switching employer, i have some queries.

1. The link is from 2014, so is it still valid. Because i have shared my degree certificate in visa application for knowledge of english language. Do i need to get NARIC certificate now?

2. Do we need to apply via extension of visa application(https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa)? Because its confusing in case of switching employer they say new application.

Thanks & Regards
Chandan

the link for extension says ...
you’re still working for the employer who assigned your certificate of sponsorship

I assume you were previously granted leave to remain on a Tier 2 visa. If so:

1) According the link you have provided, "You must have a new certificate of sponsorship and you must meet all other application conditions, but you won’t need to send evidence in support of your application if you’ve sent it for a previous Tier 2 application." From experience, this includes maintenance and English language-related evidence.

2) I don't seem to understand your question here. I assume you mean by clicking on the 'apply' option within the provided link. This will lead you to the general online application form which is normally used to extend or switch to remain in the UK under Tier 2 (General) - for applicants within the UK.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Just to ask point by point.
1) Maintenance was justified by my employer and English language point was given based on selecting my university and degree details on the Gov.uk website which is now not available. Now i am providing NARIC certificate based my degree which can be used in future for ILR.

2) I have found out the link now:
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general

Thanks in advance
