Change Postal ILR application to apply in person

Hi all,
I have submitted my Set (O) ILR application by post but I am now worried about the length of time it is going to take to be approved / refused. Is there any way I can now change it from a postal application to an apply in person application? Has anyone done this before?

I have applied for ILR under the tier 2 general, 5 years continuous stay route.

I'm not sure if I am eligible for this:-

They state in there the following:-

"You can get a faster reply if you used the SET (O) form and both of the following are true:

1. your case isn’t covered by immigration rules
2. you applied to settle in the UK after completing 6 years discretionary leave granted under the transitional arrangement."

In my case only the first one is true as I have only been here for 5.5 years.

Am I looking at the right information above or have I found something that does not correspond to the link that you directed me too? Still worth a go anyway, thanks for the info!
