In-Country Tier 2 extension delay

Post by Uniquip » Mon Nov 13, 2017 7:19 pm

Hi Everyone,

It has been 8 weeks since I applied through the standard route and I have not received any communication (apart from the biometric enrolment letter).

From reading this forum, I understand that calling / emailing them is useless as they refuse to comment on individual cases and will just give a generic response.

Has anyone faced this issue before? I am thinking of contacting my local MP to see if they can help escalate this but not sure how much use it would be.

Thanks!

Many have had delays over the last year or so.

Thanks CR001, I'm aware of this thread but did not think it was 100% relevant as most of the applicants there were applying outside the UK whilst mine is an in-country application.

Thanks

Many members in the thread posted about delays applying within the UK.

Here is another thread.

I am in a similar situation, and this is bringing me so much anxiety. I have time booked to travel in 1 week but now it's unlikely that I'll have my passport back on time.

I've actually just called their hotline and they gave me a call back within 2 hours to let me know that a decision has been made yesterday on my case (exactly 8 weeks) and that a parcel has been sent to me via Royal Mail (I'm assuming my documents).

Maybe you should try calling them as well? Hopefully you won't have to cancel your trip!

Hi all,
Hope i am not deviating from the thread, but i cant even trak my status online. Please let me know if someone has the same issue and was it fixed?

I am switching from T2 ICT to T2 G Dependent ( in country). My wife got the T2 G from India and collected the BRP in UK , after which i made the application from within UK on 1st of October.

I got the Biometrics Letter on 17 October and completed on same day.
However i am not able to track my application using the below link -
https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/ ... visastatus
Error: number not found.
Is it because only Main applicant status can be tracked here?

Please try with your IHS Number to track the application.

Arun,
Thanks for the inputs, I have tried IHS nbr as well but not found . I called the helpline and they just said it does not matter as the tracking system is just a beta and they also can't check unless it is beyond 8 th week :(
Anyway hope this info helps If someone else is also not able track their application.

Hi Ganesh,
Dont worry, at this stage the best thing to do is to wait for that letter. Once you get that in hand could make a decision. I got my refusal letter in around 6th week, just on a silly mistake. Making a new application now. Wish you good luck friend.

Kind Reagrds
Arun
