Travel to Europe with BRP

Hi all,

Apologies if this has already been asked before but I've looked everywhere and cannot find what I'm looking for.

I'm a British national and my wife is Pakistani who has in August 2017 arrived in the UK on a spouse visa - she now has a biometric residence card valid until April 2020.

Can someone please help and let me know if we can travel for a week's break to Malta or any other country in the EU without my wife having to obtain a visa?

All help would be greatly appreciated and once again apologies if this has already been asked.

Your wife will require a visa until she has been granted British citizenship. The airline will not permit her to travel without one.
