Does a wife with 'Family of a settled person' visa have to travel within 30 days after getting visa?

Post by vapudi » Sat Nov 18, 2017 10:42 am

hi,
If a dependent (wife) gets 'Family of a settled person' visa for the first time, does she have to travel within 30 days after getting the visa?

As I have a son who is eligible for CoE RoA, they may get visas at different dates if I apply for both of them at same time. I am bit concerned.

Are there any travel restrictions on 'Family of a settled person" visa? Please suggest.

Thank you.

Yes she does. She must travel within 30 days in order to collect her BRP from the designated Post Office within 10 days of arriving in the UK.

I understood from your post in your previous thread that your child's Coa/ROA was refused...

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

Yes CoE RoA refused for my baby. I am writing email to HO. I asked this question to understand should I apply again for him before I apply for my wife or at same time? Any suggestions on this situation?

Best wishes.
