Irish Naturalisation

Hello, my wife is from the Philippines and she has been living here in Northern Ireland now for 4 years, my wife and I lived in the South of Ireland for for a few months before back in 2013 and then entered the UK on a family permit and since has had her UK residence permit.

She has made an application for Irish naturalisation, submitted her documents back in June/July this year, we received the letter of acknowledgement but haven't heard anything else about the next step in her application.

Would anyone know how long the process of Irish naturalisation usually takes?
