Dear members

I am a British citizen and I want to apply for my spouse. My wife is in Pakistan . Can I apply for premium service for spouse visa first application. I know for spouse visa extension you can apply for premium services. Is there premium service for spouse visa first/ initial application.

Also she got 7 band in ielts academic, can she use this for her English language. Instead of a1 etc.

Lastly any sample employer letter. I have the employment contract, payslips and bank statement

Yes you can the fees is extra £551 but you still have to wait 60 to 90 days

I would like to apply for my spouse visa from Pakistan. I am a British citizen.

Any one explain me the procedure. What are the steps involved. I have created an account on UKVI. Don't know what steps next.

Please senior if you could guide through the whole process.( EG, UKVIA accounts, form filling, payment of fee plus IHS and priority fee, booking an appointment in Pakistan/biometric and passport submission and finally doc submission to Sheffield)

Also is there any priority service from Pakistan for spouse visa first application. lastly my wife got IELTS academic is it acceptable or she needs A1.

Hi All,

I am applying for my wife visa. I have researched and the following are my understanding:

Open an account on VISA4Uk website.
Then complete the form on behalf of your spouse.
Once the form is completed then ask your spouse in Pakistan to print and sign,
This online form is VAF4 a. Ask your spouse to fill in also Appendix 2 by hand.

Now once this step is completes then register for IHS. Once you register it will generate an IHS number that will be used for Reference when making payment.

Now book your VFS appointment in Pakistan online.
Again you need to register first. once its booked pay the priority fee.(if you want)
Now submits the online form VAF4a and pay the fee and IHS.
Once payment done then ask your spouse to print and sign the form and take this with her passport to the booking appointment center in Pakistan. This will be her bio metric enrollment. Once done. then ask your partner to send you the Marriage documents and signed VAF4a and appendix 2, TB tests, English tests and any other doc required.
Once you received all the documents send these with the sponsors documents to Sheffield.

I am applying for my spouse visa. I m British. my wife in Pakistan.
I have registered an account on VISA4uk.

My question is, I can see there is an option to book an appointment and pay fee.
any body advise me how to pay for IHS. I assume the option it showing in my online a/c is to pay for the visa fee which £1464.
Also how to pay priority service fee £551.

Once I submit the form what will be the next step.

IHS is payable as part of the online process. You can also pay it directly on the IHS website and put the number into the visa applciation form.

I am not sure of the priority, but presume it is also part of the appointment booking/online process.

You can register on Vfs global website to pay for priority (option on the same page register at commercial partner).


Alternatively you can pay for priority at visa centre at your appointment. I myself paid for priority at Karachi vac on the day of appointment.

Dear member,

Please advise regarding tenancy agreement.
I m applying in January mid for my spouse visa.

My tenancy agreement starts with March 2017.

Will this be ok. As long as I attach this with the application . Do I need to submit a tenancy agreement before the application date which is mid January 2017.
