FLR(IND) application and passport endorsement

Post by staines » Thu Feb 17, 2005 4:10 pm

I submitted the FLR application recently, and phoned the Home Office today. I was told my case has been done, and just waiting for endorsement and dispatch. What does this mean? anybody has the same experience has a clue how long I should expect to wait to get my passport back?
many thanks!

It seems that even for FLR they seem to be using the same tactics as they doing for HSMP, now that’s even more unacceptable cause it means pple cant travel or start their news jobs for montsh on end. They have been stuck at Oct 7 for the past 6 weeks

or start their news jobs for montsh on end.

I thought that an HSMP approval letter is sufficient to start a job without waiting for you stamped passpost.

correct me if I am wrong.
cheers.

No, you can't. This is clearly stated by a lawyer I consulted.

Thanks for the clarification. I am notsure people are clear about this. I have a friend who has started his job based on the approval letter while still waiting for his stamped approval.

Cheers.

i dont think everyone can. infact the temporary rules on working while waiting for LTR were not really HSMP specific i think people will read them differently

Just the link to the announcement made in relation to working while waiting for FLR, they said they woudl review it in the new year so maybe we should be on the look out for a change to it, or actually, it could be that they will be processing much quicker than they have been of late

The link clearly states that only WP applies while HSMP doesn't.

Btw, it seems that the hotline 0114 274 3304 no longer works. Anybody knows what happened?

i think you will find on this forum that there are people waiting since October for FLR, it looks like they processing them the same way they are processing HSMP applications, ie. Last in First Out
