Child Benefit for dependant stepdaughter

Hi, I am the British spouse, my wife and 11 year old stepdaughter are here on a spouse/dependant visa (no recourse to public funds). FLR(M) due next year.

Can I claim child benefit for my step daughter?

Thank you for the reply.
Section 1 of the child benefit form asks about me and my marital or partnership status and then Section 2 asks about my 'partner' (my wife) and I have to fill in her personal details etc. I hope this is not viewed as both myself and my wife applying?

You need to complete the form with your partner details but the claim must be in your name.
