House of Lords Report on Immigration-01/04/2008

Post by thirdwave » Tue Apr 01, 2008 9:57 am

The House of Lords have released their report on the economic impact of immigration on the UK today. They have concluded that there is little or infact a slightly negative impact from immigration on the UK economy and have suggested an annual cap on non EU immigration.More significantly, the cross party panel virtually accuses the govt of 'misleading' the public about the benefits of immigration and have dismissed the figures published in 2007 by the HO..

Liam Bryne 'welcomed' the findings before blathering on about his 'points based' system..I wonder if this report would increase calls for qoutas on numbers? There is a strong possibility that the findings would inform some of the changes being proposed under the Green paper due to be presented in parliament later this year..

Relax

only those are earning less than £35, 000 need to worry

one way it is right

suppose one family have 2 kids and earns £35,000 combinely

country is losser

taxes and nI paid £ 7, 000

Cost ot country - 2 childs school £ 10,000
child benefits £ 2,000
if NHS IS USED than out of control

this is a average picture of Immigration

unless all immigrant are young but this law will catch at some stage
