Cooling off period for shortage occupation category

Hi,

My name is Rahul and I am in UK since 2015. I was initially on Tier4 but after finishing my studies, I switched my visa to tier2 (general). After a few months, I left my job and the curtailed leave ends on January 5, 2018. Now, I am confused that if I will be able to get another job in the shortage occupation category does the cooling off period apply in that situation ?

I know in case of curtailed leaves, it does apply but I would like to emphasize on a job in shortage occupation list from past many years.
