Firstly, please do not post in block capitals. On the internet this is equivalent to shouting, and on this Board such postings are liable to be deleted without notice.

Hotel booking? I would have made that for 14 days, and of course such bookings should be made on a "full price" basis, so there is flexibility to adjust or cancel the booking at a later date.

You mention monetary amounts, but do not state the currency. Can you clarify please. And as regards "LAKH", personally I have not got a clue how much that is.

not a good news

but ec is hard to get

they give hsmp / tier -1 and no EC money gone in system and u r poor by £ 800 -1000

apply again this time with atleast £ 250 000 + in yr a/c with some contacts in uk

these r not required by law but admn barriers.

yes UK is very expensive , if some one dont have job for 2-3 month whatever u have shown will go in system and u will again looser

nevermind try this time with £ 2500 saving (critieria ) for last 3 months

cash in a/c

Right, the currency is a rather important piece of information. So roughly 80 rupees = £1. So you have about £2000 in your name, and you are also mentioning £5200 in your parents' names.

My reaction to that is .... a bit on the light side. So not surprised that there is mention of you not having an employment to go to.

How much should you need to show? I do not think there is a definite answer to that. For a start your housing costs could vary considerably, and dependent upon where in the UK you intend to live. So where in the UK do you intend to come to?

Any relative you can live with initially while you find a job?

Dear olisun,
Just to let you know that Lakhs also indicates BDT (Bangladeshi Currency).

its sad situation but the scenario in which he posted he wrote it in lakhs and all didnt came to his mind tht this is going to be read by people outside india too. Unfortunately, thats how the indian currency system works locally. But it should be in the mind that this post is going to be read by international community.
For help.
1 lakh = 100 thousand = 100,000 rupees.

1 crore = 100 lakh = 100 00 000
I have my ILR since march 2013, previously based on HSMP+Tier1 ext. All views are my own, am not a professional on immigration matters.

John is right that one should tell about the currency. Lakhs are not always Indian rupees. It might be in Pakistan currency where the rate of exchange is different than INRs.

Deepin7070,
You need to post in a more general form for people to help u. I saw all the post requesting u to state the amount in ur account and that of your dad in Pounds but u neglected it. It is not rudeness or segregation, it is just that only people from your country understands clearly the value. Only a few has the time to start converting for u. State all the money in Pounds and let people respond generally to ur querry. The little I know about required fund for EC is that The primary applicant should have about 2,800GBP and the first dependant,2/3 of that amount and each of other dependants less than 18yrs should need 1/3 of the 2,800.
i.e. A man going with his wife and a Child should have 5,600GBP.Check this against what u have.
All the best
