I came to the UK in August 2001 with a permit free training visa.
Got married to my EU wife in July 2002.
Applied for EU residence permit in July 2002...got it in October 2002 valid for 5 years.
Applied for PR in July 2007...got it in October 2007....
When can I apply for British citizenship please?

After you have had PR status for at least one year, so in October 2008.

Do ensure that when you apply you were physically in the UK exactly five years before BIA will receive the Naturalisation application.

I believe you have done very well with your documents. Could you kindly give us a list of documents which you sent with your PR application on this board. Because I belive that would be very helpful for others those are in similar condition.

Many of them.
I am a doctor working in Manchester.
Bank statements for 5 years
P60s
All pay slips
The usual passports and marriage cert
Letter from my hospital
Got the residency in the first place on my wife as a self-sufficient dependant on MY income

John - wouldn't it be July 2008, not October 2008, in this case?

Can we apply after 9 months of PR for naturalisation if we establish a strong connection with the UK like estates and family?????????????

Not normally, unless you are married to a British citizen.

Are you both going to apply for British citizenship at the same time? One fee covers both of you, if you do.
