Tier 4 Student Visa - January 2018 Intake Timeline

I would appreciate if International Students for January intake share their Student Visa Tier 4 Timeline.
Mine is:
Applied Online: 18/11/2017
Submitted VAC Lahore (Pakistan): 27/11/2017
Confirmation Email: 28/11/2017



No other update till date. Good luck everyone

Mine timeline is as follows :

Applied Online: 30th November 2017
Submitted VAC Lahore (Pakistan): 07 Dec 2017
Confirmation Email: 08 Dec 2017


Till now i got no reply, still waiting and I think that the offices will open after 8th of Jan 2018 (Christmas + New Year Vocations). My class start date is 15th of January but I can be accepted on the course till 28th Jan 2018. Lets see ! Good luck Everyone.

Just an email of acknowledgment starting “Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer“

I contacted Uni yesterday to escalate it but still no reply
Last email was on 28th Nov 17

i'm wondering when hasanmahboobqureshi received an email from UKVI stating that a decision had been made and what the email said.

i applied from the states on 24th of november, did biometrics on december 1st and got my confirmation email on december 8th, but still haven't heard back yet.

Apparantely course and uni matter ? I requested my uni to contact HO. They did. Still waiting for their reply

[Hi, I am in the same boat. I have applied on the 22nd nov. called them at least five time , they told me a decision was made since the 28th. but I have not heard from them?
My school is giving me till next week to come otherwise they will cancel my offer.
Did you do anything to get in touch with the Uk visa? ~I dont know what to do now

Hi All,

I applied for September 2017 intake but received refusal on 11th October 2017, after admin review the decision of my application overturned and UKVI emailed me to re submit my passport which i did on 30th November 2017 with Deffer letter from university that i am allowed to join in January intake. Meanwhile regional manager of my university informed me that they have received a call from UKVI to confirm latest date i can join.

I am waiting from 30th November with no response from anywhere, visited VAC few times its no use, called university today they told me that they have emailed UKVI and will update me as soon as they get any response.

My classes are from 15th January. I am really worried.

Apparently it depends on Case Worker. What Uni and course you applied for? What's your joining date? Have you contacted your Uni and told them about it?

Yes my friend recently received his passport within 15 working days, he submitted his document on 28th November and he received his passport back on 18th December.

I got an email from my school yesterday. the UKBA had lost my passport!!! and they found it.
I now an email saying the decision has been made and I plan to go to the application center on friday just to check my documents.
another thing is that the visa was granted on the 27 nov. and it is for 1 month. technically it should be expired now
anyway I am not sure what to do. the VAC has not sent me an email, but I will still go there just to check.

21 dec: called ukvisa, escalated the case
04 jan: escalated to BPP unversity
09 jan: email from BPP explaining that passport was lost and have been found
09 jan: email from UK visa confirm a decision has been made
10 jan: till waiting for email to collect my documents

Hello everyone,
Pls I need help for clarity if anyone had this experienced from ukvi;
"The assessment of this application has not been straightforward and is subject to extended checks. This may mean that We hold the application for longer than normal, but in some cases it is essential that We do so. Our published guidance says that additional checks may be carried out in certain cases and as soon As we have completed our checks we will notify you of the outcome of the application".

Please how long do I envisage waiting??
Application submission & biometrics: Nov 27th,2017.
School resumption: Jan 22nd,2018.
Message from ukvi: Jan 10th,2018.

Have you had similar experience? Or a better understanding of how long I must wait?

hey everyone-

can anyone who HAS received a decision email from the UKVI tell me what time they received the email and where they live?

It’s driving me wild waiting all day checking my inbox for an email. I submitted my visa online November 24th, biometrics on December 1st, and a conformation email on December 8th.

So far it’s been 21 working days since my confirmation email. My orientation starts next week on January 15th- I haven’t book d my travel yet. I am planning on attending University of Westminster in a postgraduate course.

Does anyone know how after how many days since the visa being escalated, a decision is made? Also, did you receive the visa when you collected your passport or did they inform you of the decision in the email?

hey everyone! just an update- i received my visa today, shortly after posting. they sent me an email confirming that my application was successful and that i would be receiving my visa along with my passport in 2 days!

i’m not sure if they notified me by email because i live in the states, but just wanted to let people know! good luck to you all!!
