What is the difference b/w business & self-employment

Hi ALL

If i go to UK under HSMP, i know that am eligible to be self-employed.
I am IT consultant , so could you please calrify difference between self-employed and business here.

As if i wana be self-employed, i will have a small office, some staff, phone,fax, internet, PCs etc. I can provide services like web-designing, software development etc.

IT THAT OK?

Because some people think that it is expanded to business & when self-employed you cannot hire people????

Keep in mind that you have to be economically active in first year to get FLR. As far as business or self employement is concerned i dont think an HSMP holder should face any problem.
