Indefinite Leave to Remain

Hi All,

I got my Biometric resident Card today but noticed my date is from 03-01-2018 till 31-12-2024. That's 6 years. Is this correct? I thought it would have been 10 years.

I went for same day service on 03-01-2018.

Please can you advice

31 December 2024 validity date is due to a requirement by the EU to restrict BRPs which do not incorporate the next generation of encryption technology.

Thanks Mate. So it is correct then. Well i will be applying for Naturalisation immediately sice my wife is BC. No need to wait.
