Naturalization

Post by powershower » Mon Jan 15, 2018 11:20 pm

Hi,

My partner Received ILR today . It was given after seven year of discretionary leave to remain.

although she was on discretionary leave in 2010 June for 11 months followed by 2 extension 3 years each.

My questions is

1. when she will be qualified for naturalization?

2. She dose not have any previous passports from home country will this effect her application ?

Many thanks .

When you say 'partner', do you mean 'spouse' or 'unmarried partner'?? It makes a difference regarding eligibility for citizenship.

What is the full immigration history prior to being granted DLR?

Partner will qualify for citizenship in 2020, 10 years after their legal stay started.

Thanks for your reply.

What about passports , if she doesn't have any previous passports , will she be able to apply Naturalization and British passport once Naturalization is approved .

I cannot answer your question. Presumably she can now apply for a travel document, see link below.
