I am currently holding Tier 2 General from Jan 2013 and I would like to get help to know the eligibility date in which I/my dependents can apply for ILR.

The 5 year continous period is counted differently for main applicant and depedant.

Main applicant it starts from the date of visa issue and for dependants its date of entry

Main applicant

02 January 2013 issue date then you were eligible to apply ILR from Tuesday, 5 December 2017

My ILR application has been successfully approved by Liverpool Premium Service Centre (Same day appointment) on 3rd Feb 2018 with the below documents

Should I include her payslips and her bank statements as she is working as contractor and director of her limited company?
OR
Should I include my payslips and my bank statements to show the maintainance fund and sign section 13 for their financial support?

Question 3:

5. Letter from her detailing reasons for absences though no more than 180 days in 12 month period
Not required, we had close to 250 days and no specific document submitted
6. Marriage CertificateReally not required, I did not submit it or they asked it.
7. Tenancy Agreement of last 3 years with both of our names on it
8. Council tax receipts with both of our names on them
9. Water utility receipts of last 2 years with both of our names on it
10. Gas utility receipts of last 1.5 years with both of our names on it
For Cohabitation documents as Char mentioned earlier, please sort the documents in reverse chronological order placing one type of document every 3-4 months for upto 2 years from date of submission.

Documents for child:
1. Birth Certificate
For my daughter, I did not submit it or they asked it.

Documents from me (ILR holder):
1. Passport and BRP
Original and copies are needed for both.



I have few questions to be clarified as below

Question 1: Is it mandatory for me to be with them for the appointment?
I was ther but I never signed or they even asked me if I were the original ILR holder. Since my kid is 1 year, I went as a help to my wife.
Question 2:
Should I include her payslips and her bank statements as she is working as contractor and director of her limited company?

Should I include my payslips and my bank statements to show the maintainance fund and sign section 13 for their financial support?

I submitted both as rent was going out of my bank account.

Question 3:
Are the documents listed above good enough or anything missing?
Since all documents have both your names on it , the current list looks OK.

Do you have a letter addressed to your child ? If so, just keep it. I did so. Not sure if it is required.

When you submitted proof of cohabitation did you count 2 years starting from the month of your last visa application or counting backwards from the month of PEO appointment? I extended my visa in Apr 2016 and going to apply in Sep 2018 so not sure if proof of cohabitation should be for Apr 2016 - Apr 2018 or Sep 2016 - Sep 2018? Thanks.

I've studied "Indefinite leave to remain: calculating continuous period in UK" (https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... riod-in-uk) and it does appear to treat all the applicants in the same way regardless of whether it is a main applicant or a dependant. Am I missing something?

The post you are quoting is from JANUARY, which was before the rule changes of visa issue date for both main and dependent.
