If you have held a spouse settlement visa for almost 5 years, suggest read form Set(M) and the guidance notes. It tells you what you need to submit.

I think you need to extend in order to complete 5 years first?

A2 English, etc., required.

Do I need to meet financial requirements to apply for ILR 5 years route? And what will happen if me and my wife can not meet it?

As vinny has already stated, if you have not held a spouse visa for 5 years, then you require a spouse visa extension for another 2.5 years first, meeting all the same requirements before you can apply for ILR.

You need to meet the financial requirements for the extension and ILR.

Page 64 tells you what HO expect to see in terms of 2 years worth of cohabitation evidence and subsisting relationship.

You need English A2 if you are not from an exempt country.

You need to meet the financial requirements with 6 months payslips and 6 months corresponding bank statements.

You must pay the £500 Immigration Health Surcharge on top of the visa fee of £993 for postal or add another £590 to the visa fee for an in person same day decision appointment.

What date does your spouse visa expire?

What date did you enter the UK with your spouse visa?

I entered the uk August 2017 and my visa expires May 2020, but I really wanted to start asking about the next visa from now to do not regret about anything, I had problem with the brp and I needed to change it because there was a mistake on the length and it took me 4 months to do everything and bank account as well and registration with police, now I am thinking about studying TIG Welder and then get good job, what do you think please?

You will need to ask about your visa extension closer to the time. Things change and HO makes frequent updates.

No one can tell for certain now what the requirements will be in 2020.

You are free to study, it is your choice.

No they won't. It's up to you to ensure you apply before your current visa expires. You can apply no earlier than 28 days before the end of your 30 months of residence in the UK.

You've misunderstood the financial requirement. The first £16,000 in savings are disregarded and only savings held after this amount are considered to meet the minimum income level.

As you have sufficient leave, it’s best to apply for FLR(M) after completing 30 months in the UK, e.g. from March 2020, and before your leave expires.

Thanks a lot to everyone, and would you please explain a bit for me the cash saving 16.000£ and will it replace that 18.600£ wage

No. Savings above 16,000 may lessen the £18,600 requirement (E-ECP.3.1., E-LTRP.3.1.(b)).

Savings of (16,000 + 2.5*18,600) = £62,500 would replace the £18,600 requirement.

How did you satisfy the requirements the first time round?

Aha. Then you are subject to adequate maintenance instead.
