IELTS academic (UKVI) for spouse visa uk

Post by nasreen baji » Fri Jan 26, 2018 7:07 am

I had given IELTS Academic UKVI recently and going to apply for spouse visa in couple of months. Can I apply spouse visa on the basis of this English test? Or I must have to take Ielts for life Skill for this category?

Don't do it someone I know got her visa refused because of this , they are idiots & just follow the instructions, even though academic IELTS tests skills to a broader level (reading writing , listening and speaking ) they refused the visa because it was IELTS academic and the requirement is to give IELTS (A1 Level) where only speaking and listening skills are tested.

Sounds daft but I would recommend doing only the correctly specified IELTS listed in Appendix O for the relevant visa category.

The link you have mentioned states the IELTS academic is also acceptable but should be SELT consortum which means it should be IELTS for UKVI.

I have recently submitted IELTS for UKVI (general), and got refused because of it. So I would rather retake the exam instead of risking...

The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Photographs proof for spouse visa

Post by nasreen baji » Fri Feb 09, 2018 5:40 pm

I'm collecting the documents for spouse visa but there's a confusion; do I need to print all the photographs on A4 size paper or I must have to attach the original photos from wedding album?

Some people attach originals and others do digital photos on A4 paper. I would always put in the original. InshaAllah goes well for you.

Few screenshots covering every month, especially periods that cover anniversaries etc. No need to go overboard. They just want to see you stay in touch and share celebrations etc.
