EXTENTION APPROVED AFTER 15 MONTHS AND 3 WEEKS

By the grace of ALLAH I got my extention approved today after a very painfull wait of 15 months and 3 weeks.
Time line:
Team application 50k share capital
Applied 06th october 2016
Interview 29th march 2017
after that no response
involved Mp two times (no result same answer complex and checks)
emailed them many times made complaints nothing happened.
On 10th january 2018 partner varied his application to ILR (LR) at sheffield and was told that they need to request passports and find out from teir 1 department as to why this is taking so long.
In the meanwhile i kept sending emails and faxing two times a day the same email in january and sent PAP VIA email (no reply at all)
so GOD knows whether its because of the emails and pap they approved it OR maybe my partner varied his application due to which they had to approve my visa aswell and transffered his passports and documents to ILR department. He hasnt recieved anything yet but i only got approval letter, passports and all documents today via post which was approved on 25th january 2018.
still waiting for IHS refund and BRP.

I was invited for the interview on skype back then they didnt use to come to office.questions are the same which r discussed on some threads here try to search it.just know your business very well and study the accounts submitted for all years

They will ask mostly same questions from both partners in different cabins at the same time so make sure u both answer the same if each one answer different then it will create a doubt you both should know everything about the business perfectly read ur accounts sales expenses investment dates money transffered in business spent on what and where when etc etc employees their roles dates joined left their addresses

So will it be October 2018 for 5 yrs continuous on this route - provided all conditions are met, OR will it be January 2020, 2 yrs from the date the extension is approved)

ILR continuous period is always calculated from the date of the INITIAL VISA. The extension date has nothing to do with the 5 year calculation.

I am also waiting for 18 months now. I want to write a complain letter to ho but do not actually know what to mention. Of course I am gonna write how this long period caused me problem but should I mention something like if you donot going to make a decision I am going to court and etc?!!!!
I saw some people mentioned that in their letter but is it ok?

its called a preaction protocol which is a formal letter to let the other party know about your intention of going for JR.Just write normal letter explaining your siruation and mentioning that this is a preaction protocol letter and your going for JR.Thats all
