Yes, i got the reference number starting from PB***. This is ref no. for the fees paid (350GBP).
Not sure about the current processing time. As per the letter from HO, we need to wait atleast 28 days :-(

Please let me know how many days is taking to get the same processed.
My situation is , Now I am on WP.
Current assignment will end by June. When I leave from here I should be able to get stamped.

If I know the processing timings, I can plan accordingly..
Hope some one will help me out regrading the processing timings for
switching from WP to Tier1 with HSMP approval letter.

You have to skip attributes section while filling form..

I don't know about current processing time...

But it seems from different threads here that it is taking more time nowadays...

HSMP Transitional arrangement is a conspiracy

Post by smartwave » Tue Apr 08, 2008 12:34 pm

HSMP Transitional arrangement is a conspiracy. Once you get your extension on that arrangement, do you think you will get your PR in the future? no way. according to the lastest gov proposal, there will be requirment, the similiar point based sytem, for those applying for PR.
So if you manage to get visa extened by transitional arrangement, and you won't be able to change your finical situation, I don't think you can get the PR nor the UK passport in the next year.

You even will lose your right to appeal once you get tier1 visa.

Guys me too in the same situation..i think there are many of us like that..
Applied for FLR under Tier 1 with valid HSMP approval letter but as of yet no updates ..
I think some people have already received their passport similar to our situation who have applied around 3rd and 4th march..so i guess they must be dealing with application received on 6 and 7 th now...

@Bhumi ..Thanks for update...

I read in a thread that few people who applied around 10th March (Tier -1 Initial application) have got their passports back (within 20 days). Ours is only stamping (as we already have HSMP approval letter)...so logically our case should take less time than that......hope this theory works...

Sonubanna,
People who have applied on 7th mar for FLR under Tier 1 with valid HSMP approval letter have received their passports today..since i have applied on 12th mar i expect my passport next week.
Unlike you have applied at the end of march so i suppose your passport should take another 2 weeks to arrive....

Will keep everyone updated..so do everyone..plzz..

Hello All,

I have HSMP approval letter dtd 19th Dec 2007.
Applied for visa on 28th Feb something.

- Reached HO on 31st Mar 2008.
- Got the reference number on 1st Apr.
- Looking at other posts not expecting anything back in next 1 and half months. :-)

- I was not aware of the new process of attaching the dependents forms along with main application and sent only passports and marriage certificates etc. I realised my mistake later and sent the dependent forms (2 nos) seperately. Then had tough time talking with HO advisors and convincing them to link dependent application with my application (if not linked, I have to pay £395 per application).

My struggle got over when HO personnel confirmed that it has been linked with my application (after sending dep. applications twice on diff addresses).
I was not aware of the maintenance part as well. I dont know how much balance I have shown in statements. So no idea about what will get approved when!

I was too careless this time... never do that in your case...

No replies from BIA still :-( Today is 37th day after BIA received my application. I think transitional applications are taking more time.

Anybody who got a response from BIA for WP --> Tier 1 via transitional arrangements ?

Amit / Bhumi,

Have you called HO to check progress of your application as it has crossed 28 days ?
