Call from home office.

Dear, Members

I have made 2nd spouse visa application in December 2017, since 1st application was refused.

Would like to ask forum members that it would be much helpful if you all can help me out.

Want to ask that when home office call (ECO?), what phone number do you get on the mobile screen and do they leave a voicemail if you don't answer?

Do the numbers are UK numbers (+44 numbers) or abroad numbers (Eg: France, Italy numbers) ?

Asking this as I was India to make the application and have got 5 calls (Which I didn't answer as mobile was in UK) from France (different numbers) after I have submitted the application. Again yesterday got a call from Italy but before I answer it, it was cut off.

Please do share members what number do you get when ECO call you. Not the actual number, just want to know its UK number or abroad number (which country).

The calls come from a 'private number'. HO would not be calling from France or Italy. You are likely receiving spam calls.

Must be a call from PPI and not ECO !!

I thought and asked because calls started coming from the Same day I received the email that document are received at Sheffield.

I don't know its just coincident that I get call from same day and then every other day till 5th Jan (from same location, different numbers) then stopped suddenly.

Anyways if other members have any similar experience like this from ECO (home office numbers) then do share.

If you input the numbers in a Google search, you'll see whether they've been reported as spam calls.

It is NOT the Home Office. Likely a spam caller.

Home office in 99.99% cases will call from private number but for everyone's information there are a lot website which allow phone calling in uk while displaying non-UK number but HO won't do that. In now a days phone network providers give our numbers to other marketing agencies who contact us too.
