Tier 1 dependent...Wife doesnt hold bank account in UK

Hi All,

I am in UK on a HSMP visa along with my wife(who is on HSMP dependent
visa)..I got my initial approval for HSMP in Nov 2006 and my HSMP visa runs till Nov 2008..So now I will be applying for FLR under TIER 1 scheme

I have a query about "Dependents maintenance" fund..My wife is not working so she doesnt have any bank Account as such..So can i show funds in my account for my wife and kid (child is expected in June 08 )

IMO, you should. Because, they are dependent.

Yes..I can show fund in MY account...But i think i read that i shd. provide a bank statement for Dependents on his/her name...But in this case my wife doent have a bank account..
So my query is MY bank account will work??If yes, then shd. it be a joint account with my wife or ONLY my name would suffice??

Yes it will. Refer, http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... ependants/ dependent tier1 gudance notes.

Para. 34, point 1 clearly states that, it can be from bank account of main applicant or dependent.
