Cheque Payment reversed/declined

Post by ramimpdocs1 » Wed Jan 31, 2018 11:13 pm

Dear Forum Members,

Tier1 dependent extension applications(wife & daughter) submitted on 23/01/2018 through Royal mail special delivery. (Visa expiry date: 24/01/2018). I've sent 2 individual cheques where both are processed initially on 30/01/2018 and after some time 1 is reversed on 30/01/2018 due to the reason by the Bank "Amount not mentioned in words". I don't know how they're able to process 1 but not the 2nd one.

my query is about the next avaialble options (what would be the reply from home office?) and the necessary actions needs to be taken to avoid issues like invalid stay/invalid application etc.,

I'm looking forward for your valuable reply.

Regards,
Ram

They claim the cheque wasn't completed fully in words for the amount.

Did you keep copies of the cheques?

Dear Vinny,

I didn't take the photo copies of the cheque(s). Would it make any difference?

If you had copies, you could check and prove or not whether you actually completed the cheque fully.

Dear CR001,

I hadn't filled both the cheque(s) Amount in words.
But 1 was processed(Child) and the other 1 was reversed by the bank(Partner).

my query is about the next available options:
what could be the reply from home office?
What could be the necessary actions needs to be taken to avoid issues like invalid stay/invalid application etc.,

Requirement: Fee payment wrote:....
The Fees Regulations are here:
Immigration and Nationality (Fees) Regulations 2016
The Immigration and Nationality (Fees)Regulations 2017
If an applicant has not paid the correct fee, you must write to them and give them 10 working days to rectify their mistake and provide instructions on how to pay the correct fee. If they do not do this, you must reject the application as invalid using the notice of invalidity template: ICD 4946 on Doc Gen.
If they haven’t written, then perhaps request opportunity to correct 34(3) payment error under 34B.(1) and make a valid payment?

Hi Vinny,

Here is an update from my end which is same as you mentioned in your reply.

I've got the papers to enrol biometric and also a letter relates to missing information(Invalid Application) and advised to complete the payment slip and send it to a address mentioned in the small green card which is to Sheffield. (10 working days is the time limit)

Ram

We've filled the payment form and send it in the post to the given Sheffield address.
Thanks for Vinny/CR001 for your swift replies.

Ram
