Long absence on aufenthaltskarte

Hi Every one
Can any one inform me how long a person stay outside EU on aufenthaltskarte? My wife (Pakistani national) is living in Pakistan with me parents due to family medical emergancy since September 2016. She is on aufenthaltskarte valid until May 2020 She will be eligable than to apply for permanent residence in Germany.
Is there any time limit she can stay outside Germany in five years? And if she overstay what will happen when she will apply for permanent residence card based on five years residence.?

Any idea what will happen is she stays more than six months? Is there any provision you know about for EU citizen spouse living in Germany?

The link refer to residence permits witch is something different than residence cards.
Nobody can know if a person with a residence card stay longer outside of Germany.
