odd format for year on hsmp visa stamp!!

Post by brijkalani » Wed Apr 09, 2008 10:06 am

Had my hsmp renewed (2+3) in feb i.e before the tier 1 was implemented. got back my and spouse's visa stamped .

Just realized today when my spouse's interviewer spotted out and said that the year on the visa stamp is confusing.

its written valid until 'may 11', no date is written. which should be 2011. In the first stamp it was clearly written in dd Month yyyy format. is it a printing mistake or that's the way home office stamps now. can any of the helpful forum users have recently renewed their visa answer my query.

thanks in advance.

I would suggest you to call HO and ask them. It would be better otherwise, i might create problem latter, if its mistake done on the part of HO.

Does yours have the full '2011'? All the visas I've seen use 2 digits for the year.

had a look at my spouse's stamp properly after reaching home.

- the first stamp for dependent visa has yyyy but the recent renew one has
the format dd may/mai yy

- confusion might be created because the dd and yy is the same number!!
what would i say ..... dumbo recruiter.

The Tier-1 visa is also in the fomat of Mth yy.
I think that can be explained and it should not be an issue.
