Tier 2 general dependent visa application

Hi,

I will be submitting my Tier 2 General visa application in India this April. Can I submit dependent visa applications for my spouse and son along with my application?

If yes, In case my application is rejected for any reason, will I lose the visa fee for all 3 applications?

Is it recommended to apply for dependent visa once main applicant visa is granted?
