you definitely are lucky considering that people with ref numbers 251*** are still waiting. mine is 2557**.

Dear orangesceptre,

in the earlier reply you posted that you have jobs offer in queue, are you applying from UK. As i applied for HSMP and my application reached home office on 18th Feb 2008, still awaiting for decision.
In the mean time i have applied for many jobs just to see the response,i received very few response and most of them telling me to revert to them once i received HSMP.
Iam really surprised to see that you have jobs offer without hsmp, can we know the secret behind this.

Dear Monish,

I have applied thru an agent from UK. The job offers I have were through some contacts I made while working here on a Work Permit. They were impressed with the work I did for them in the past and when I told them I was applying for an HSMP and was going to quit my current company, they made me an offer subject to my hsmp getting approved. So, more or less we are in the same boat....waiting for the HSMP approval....

Finally, after a long wait received approval letter today. This forum had been great. Thanks to all and everyone!!

My timelines are:

Approval date: 19 March 2008
Papers received: 12 April 2008

Not sure whether should apply straight away for EC or wait for Tier one to come in force.

I've looked at the website and it states that the hsmp team isn't accepting urgent application requests at the moment. My application was sent on 27th Feb and I still haven't heard anything.

Is there a way to expedite this at all? I really can't take this anymore!

Also, it appears like applications from within the UK aren't really a priority for some reason!

I really appreciate all the information given here which has been helpful to me.I had applied it on my own without consultant.

All,

Finally got approval.

Timelines

Sent 21 Feb
Ref Num 3rd march
Approval 11th April.

Called the HO and asked about my Ref number and they told its been approved and received in my building by conceirge. I didnt came to know so excited to go home and check the documents.

Good luck to all the other waiting people.
