When Tier2 General gets cancelled, what happens to tourist visa

I am on tier2 general sponsorship and will be quitting my job soon. I still had 4 years left in Tier2 visa which will be cancelled.
I have 5 year tourist visa from 2015 and valid till october 2020. Would that be still valid once tier2 is cancelled.
Can I depart and re-enter UK as a tourist?

From my understanding, you can only hold one immigration status at a time. I mean you can only hold one valid visa per time. That means your tourist/visiting visa would have been cancelled when you were issued a tier 2 visa.
