TIER 2 - General Salary Pay rise around 100%

Post by nags338228 » Fri Mar 02, 2018 7:03 pm

Dear members,

I am new to this forum, so many thanks in advance for your patience.

I am Indian citizen working in the UK on a Tier 2 (general visa) until June 2019.

My job advert was 27K when I joined and now my salary is 28K, and I am in discussion with my Company to increase my pay rise and asking for more than 50K as my experience is more than what my company expected. so it will be around 100% pay rise.

And I meet all the requirements and they are happy to give more than 50K.

Will that be any problem from HMRC or will that be fine?

If not, can someone help me on what needs to be done?

Thanks in Advance.

Sponsor should notify the Home office of any significant salary increase, unless it's a regular Annual pay correction / increase.

Assume, if home office has any concerns about the % of hike, they would question the sponsor for valid reasons.

But as per the below reference:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... 9.0ext.pdf

Page 104: "A person does not need to make a change of employment application if:
• they are staying with the same employer and changing their job to one in the same SOC code, and the change does not mean moving from a job on the shortage occupation list to one that is not on the list
• their pay increases

....."

And in that nowhere mentioned that, we need to inform to Home Office if there is a significant pay rise.

Please advise.

Thank You !!

Your employer needs to run a new RLMT
